Snorkelling Tours Bruce Peninsula Boat Tours
The Fishing Islands of Lake Huron offer some of the most enjoyable snorkelling on the Bruce Peninsula. The time you spend in this Canadian Caribbean of 70 islands, shallow water and rocky shoals on the west side of the Bruce Peninsula will become one of your most memorable summer experiences!
Snorkelling in the shallow waters around the Fishing Islands is a perfect location for those new to the sport, those averse to cold water and to those who just love the sun, the sand! You will explore rock formations as well, and shipwrecks that found their final resting place in our sandy bays. We cannot guarantee water temperature, but can tell you that due to our shallow depths and sandy bays, the water temperature here is usually much warmer than Georgian Bay and Tobermory waters.
We provide snorkel gear (mask, snorkel, fins, life vest). A snorkel guide will demonstrate how to use the equipment and will be in the water to assist you. All participants should feel comfortable in the water. Children 12 and under and adults who are not strong swimmers, must wear life jackets. We do not provide wetsuits, and encourage you to bring your own shortie wetsuit if you wish, although you may find that you do not need one in July and August. (Local shop that carries wetsuits is Jack n Jill’s Surf Shop in Sauble Beach. If you have access to a full wetsuit, and wish to snorkel at a time outside our Jun 15 – Sept. 29th time frame, just give us a call.
