The Days are Getting Shorter

The boats have been put to bed and just in the knick of time! On Sunday, November 15th the gales of November hit, the house shook, the water washed over the road, and some of our islanders are now searching for their docks, once again! The gusts were anywhere from 80 kph to 107 kph we believe.

As we all hunker down for winter on the Bruce, we’re enjoying the spectacular autumn sunsets (our favourites) while looking forward to lots of the white stuff, so we can get outdoors and make the most of life in the middle of this pandemic. We are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place all year round and we are hoping our winter will include skiing, snowshoeing, lots of walks in the snow and bonfires. The Grey Bruce region has moved our public health covid status to “Yellow – Protect” as cases have increased here just like everywhere else.

We hope you have a safe and healthy winter, no matter where you are, and can find safe ways connect with others and enjoy the season. It will be a different year for all of us, for sure.
